CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Amusement Products is expanding its commercial go-kart lineup with the return of gas-powered racing and the introduction of the new Octane go-kart.
Developed for operators who continue to value the familiarity, performance, and straightforward operation of traditional gas-powered karts, Octane provides another option for facilities seeking a commercial-grade racing experience backed by Amusement Products’ decades of experience in the go-kart industry.
“Gas-powered racing continues to have a place in the market, and we wanted to give operators another strong option within the Amusement Products lineup,” said Dutch Magrath, President of Amusement Products. “Octane was developed to deliver the durability and practical performance our customers expect while allowing us to serve facilities that still prefer a traditional gas-powered platform.”
The Octane is available with either a Honda GX200 6-horsepower engine or Honda GX270 9-horsepower engine, paired with an electric starting system, centrifugal wet multi-disc clutch, cog-belt final drive, hydraulic self-adjusting disc brake, and commercial welded alloy-steel frame.
The kart is designed for drivers at least 52 inches tall and eight years of age, with a typical operating speed of approximately 18 mph and a maximum speed of 22 mph. A four-point harness and extended-wear pneumatic tires are among its standard features.
The addition of the Octane gas powered kart complements Amusement Products’ existing go-kart offerings and gives track operators greater flexibility when selecting the power platform that best fits their facility, operating environment, and customer base.
The new Octane will be on display at IAAPA Expo 2026, taking place November 16–20 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Attendees can see the kart firsthand at the Amusement Products booth, Booth 4873 during show floor hours November 17–20.
