Six Flags Fiesta Texas captures Golden Ticket Award for Best New Show with Monster Mash Bash

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Six Flags Fiesta Texas has once again earned one of the amusement industry’s highest honors, capturing the 2026 Golden Ticket Award for Best New Show for its electrifying Fright Fest production, Monster Mash Bash, presented by Amusement Today during the annual Golden Ticket Awards held Sept.12 in the Austin area.

The recognition marks the second consecutive year that Six Flags Fiesta Texas has claimed the Best New Show title, following the award-winning success of The Voodoo Dolls in 2025. The back-to-back victories further cement the park’s reputation as one of the world’s premier destinations for live theme park entertainment.

“This award is a testament to the incredible creativity, passion and talent of our entertainment team,” said Robert Bustle, park manager of Six Flags Fiesta Texas. “Winning Best New Show two years in a row is an extraordinary achievement in an industry filled with world-class entertainment. Monster Mash Bash represents everything guests love about Fright Fest at Fiesta Texas: powerhouse live music, incredible performers, immersive energy and unforgettable moments that bring thousands of guests together night after night.”

A monster hit takes center stage
Debuting as part of the park’s legendary Halloween entertainment lineup, Monster Mash Bash transforms Lone Star Lil’s Amphitheater into a high-energy concert event unlike anything else in the region.

The production combines:

  • Live rock, pop and R&B performances
  • A full live band and ensemble cast
  • Classic rock anthems and Halloween-inspired favorites
  • High-energy choreography, pyrotechnics and dynamic stage production
  • An all-star cast featuring many of the park’s most accomplished singers, dancers and musicians

For years, generations of Fiesta Texas guests have made Monster Mash Bash a Fright Fest tradition. The production has entertained hundreds of thousands of guests, evolving season after season with fresh music, new production elements and updated performances while maintaining the larger-than-life spirit that has made it one of the park’s most beloved entertainment experiences.

Industry’s highest honor for theme park entertainment
Presented annually by Amusement Today, the Golden Ticket Awards are widely regarded as one of the amusement industry’s most respected and prestigious recognition programs.

Unlike many awards programs, winners are selected through a voting process that includes theme park enthusiasts, journalists, manufacturers, suppliers and industry professionals from around the world. The program is often compared to the Academy Awards of the amusement industry because it recognizes excellence across attractions, roller coasters, entertainment, innovation and guest experience.

Award-winning entertainment returns during Fright Fest’s 30th anniversary season
The honor arrives as Six Flags Fiesta Texas launches the 30th anniversary of Fright Fest Presented by SNICKERS®, the park’s largest Halloween celebration ever.

The award-winning cast learned of the Golden Ticket victory Saturday just before taking the stage for their evening performance, creating an emotional and unforgettable moment for the performers, musicians, technicians and creative team responsible for bringing Monster Mash Bash to life.

Guests can experience the newly crowned Best New Show in the world of theme parks during Fright Fest on select dates through Nov. 1.
