LAS VEGAS — Doodlepalooza 2026 made history Sunday as 296 dogs gathered at Cowabunga Vegas for the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for most dogs attending a dog pool party. We Love Doodles, the event’s presenting sponsor, was officially recognized as the record holder.
A Guinness World Records adjudicator was on site to verify the count and confirm that hat the new total surpassed the previous record of 276 dogs, set by Chewy in Coral Gables, Florida, in May 2026.
“Achieving this record gives us a chance to celebrate something historic while also drawing attention to the rescue work happening every day behind the scenes.” said Sheedvash Michael Zargari of Doodle Rescue USA.
Held during National Dog Week, the inaugural Doodlepalooza brought doodles and poodle mixes together with their families for an afternoon in Cowabunga Canyon’s wave pool, kiddie area and splash pad. The celebration introduced attendees to Doodle Rescue USA, a Las Vegas-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming doodles and poodle mixes.
Proceeds from the event will support veterinary care, grooming, foster placement, transportation, behavioral assessments and adoption services. The fundraiser also gave the organization a platform to promote responsible pet companionship and humane education.
“This record belongs to every dog and person who showed up for a larger purpose,” said Danielle Dunker of Doodle Rescue USA “This gives hundreds of doodle families a chance to celebrate together while helping us raise awareness for the dogs who still need rescue, foster families and forever homes.”
