BRISTOL, Conn. — Lake Compounce continues a full season of All-American Summer Celebrations as the park’s final fireworks shows take place, Drone Shows return, and Connecticut’s Largest Water Park wraps up for the summer.
The festivities continue on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22 as Drone Shows take center lake at America’s First Amusement Park. More than 300 drones will take to the night sky beginning at 8 p.m. and featuring unique designs celebrating America’s 250th Birthday and iconic rides and attractions found throughout the park. Lake Compounce also called on its guests to help put the final touches on the shows. Visitors voted on four unique designs: Venus Vortex, Jack Timber, Little Dare Devils, and American Flyers. Votes were collected via email and social, and the winning design will be featured in the Drone Shows.
The park will host its final fireworks show of the summer season on Saturday, September 6 at 9 p.m. Families are encouraged to head to the park all Labor Day Weekend long to soak up the last splashes of summer in Crocodile Cove as the water park closes out the season on Monday, September 7.
“The final weeks of our season are packed with some of the biggest experiences of the year,” said Lake Compounce Assistant General Manager, Megan Major. “From our spectacular drone shows and Labor Day Weekend fireworks to one last chance to enjoy Crocodile Cove before the season ends, there’s never been a better time for families to visit.”
On Saturday, September 19, Phantom Fall Fest will creep out of the shadows with 5 haunted houses, 2 scare zones, and more horror around every corner. The fall event will run select days through November 1 and will offer daytime family activities, rides, and attractions on Saturdays and Sundays. Then, at 6 p.m. the fear kicks into gear as scare actors takeover the midways.
