DOF Robotics, a global leader in immersive entertainment technologies and robotic simulation systems, has announced a $20 million investment in NeoCappadocia, a next-generation experience destination set to open in Cappadocia, Türkiye, one of the world’s most iconic cultural and natural heritage regions.
Designed to operate 12 months a year, NeoCappadocia is expected to welcome more than 500,000 visitors annually, introducing a new benchmark for experience-driven tourism by combining advanced technology, live performance, and themed hospitality under one roof.
A New Immersive Landmark for Cappadocia
Located in Avanos, NeoCappadocia will be developed within a 5,000 m² indoor facility, offering a fully immersive, climate-independent experience designed to extend Cappadocia’s tourism appeal beyond seasonal travel.
The project will feature:
• Fly Over Cappadocia / Türkiye-themed Flying Theater
• High-fidelity balloon simulation experiences
• Large-scale curved digital screens and immersive projection systems
• Live shows combining technology, choreography, and storytelling
• A fully themed restaurant
• A boutique themed hotel with specially designed concept rooms
Driving Year-Round Tourism and Global Visibility
Commenting on the investment, Mustafa Mertcan, Chairman of DOF Robotics, stated: “With NeoCappadocia, we are reimagining Cappadocia not only as a natural wonder, but as a new universe where technology, storytelling, and emotional experience come together. This project adds a powerful new reason to visit Cappadocia, helping us spread tourism demand across all four seasons.
With an expected annual attendance of over 500,000 visitors, NeoCappadocia will be one of the world’s pioneering examples of experience-driven tourism and a strategic showcase of Türkiye’s creative technology capabilities on the global stage.”
Positioning Türkiye as a High-Tech Experience Destination
DOF Robotics plans to replicate the NeoCappadocia model in other major tourism hubs, including Istanbul and Antalya, as part of a broader global expansion strategy.
Mertcan added: “With our strong engineering foundation, R&D-driven growth vision, and global partnerships, we are contributing to Türkiye’s positioning not only as a tourism destination, but as a country that designs, builds, and exports high-technology experiences.”
