HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Legacy Entertainment, a globally renowned entertainment design and production studio, has announced the launch of a new dedicated division – the company’s seventh — The Safari Park Company. This new specialized business unit has been established to meet the major global demand for Legacy to not only design all-new Safari Parks, but also for the company to be retained to renovate and expand existing zoos and animal attractions located around the world. “The design and production of Safari Parks has, quite unexpectedly, recently emerged as Legacy’s most in-demand service offering,” says Barry Kemper, Legacy Entertainment’s Chief Operating Officer and one of the company’s owners. “Today, as animal parks all around the world have finally moved away from traditional cages and pens, we’re excited to help both new and established operators design, create and produce sanctuary-style habitats in which animals can thrive and by which visitors can be truly enthralled.”
In February, 2025, Legacy announced that it was partnering with Indonesia’s famed Taman Safari for a top-to-bottom renewal of its flagship park in Bogor. Details are expected to be announced in the coming months for two all-new Safari Parks in Asia.
“The launch of our new Safari Park division caps off a year of major developments for us, including the announcement of the Beijing Haichang Ocean Park in China, and the Loco Water Park at Royal Caribbean’s upcoming Perfect Day Mexico,” adds Taylor Jeffs, Legacy’s President, Chief Creative Office and one of its owners.
The Safari Park Company joins Legacy’s six other existing business units, first announced as part of a restructuring and rebranding in 2023. The firm’s six existing divisions are:
- The Theme Park Design Company
- The Water Park Design Company
- The Aquarium Design Company
- The Mall Design Company
- The Resort Design Company and
- The Dark Ride Company
