QUEENSBURY, N.Y. — Great Escape is adding one more day of Halloween fun. The theme park will be open on Saturday, Oct. 31, from noon to 5 p.m. for a special Boo Fest celebration featuring free admission to its family-friendly Halloween activities and show, including trick-or-treating at the Storytown houses in Buckaroo Junction.
The newly added date extends the park’s season and gives guests the chance to experience its Boo Fest on Halloween, free of charge. In addition, guests can purchase an optional unlimited ride wristband for just $9.99 each.
“With Halloween taking place on a Saturday, we have the perfect opportunity to give our guests the opportunity to spend one more day together at Great Escape before we close for the season,” said Andrew Burggraf, park president, Great Escape Resort. “This special Boo Fest celebration gives families a chance to trick-or-treat in the park, enjoy Halloween entertainment and make new memories together.”
Free Halloween Fun for Families
Free Boo Fest admission includes Halloween activities in the park, a hay maze, and the family-friendly Monster Mash show, featuring Count Dracula and his spooky friends. Children ages 12 and under can take part in the costume contest for a chance to win a 2027 Season Pass and collect candy at the Storytown houses in Buckaroo Junction. As part of the Teal Pumpkin Project, the trick-or-treat trail will also offer non-food treats at clearly marked locations, helping children with food allergies join the Halloween fun.
The Boo Fest event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 31, from noon to 5 p.m.
Optional Rides for $9.99
Along with Boo Fest, select rides and attractions will be open at Great Escape. Timbertown, Hot Rod USA and Ghost Town will be open, and guests can purchase unlimited ride wristbands inside the theme park that day for just $9.99 per person. Season Pass Holders can enjoy the rides at no additional charge.
80% Off Six Flags-Branded Merchandise
Before the park closes for the season, guests can also purchase Six Flags-branded merchandise throughout the park at an incredible savings of 80% off. While supplies last, this one-day only sale offers guests the opportunity to take home a keepsake from the park’s history.
Boo Fest Continues at Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark
Families can extend their Halloween fun at the Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark during the resort’s indoor Boo Fest on both Oct. 30 and 31. Family-friendly Halloween activities for overnight guests include Timbertown Monster Mayhem character visits, “witchcraft” crafts, Halloween Dance Parties and Spooky Tales by the fireplace to complement the indoor waterpark fun.
