Six Flags Over Georgia is recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the debut of a special pink boat on its beloved Monster Mansion attraction, honoring Six Flags team members and their loved ones whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer.
The project was championed by maintenance manager Eric Eanes, who has been personally affected by the disease. Inspired by his mother’s journey as a breast cancer survivor, Eanes led efforts to transform one of the attraction’s boats into a symbol of courage, strength, and hope.
In addition to its distinctive pink paint, the boat features a commemorative plaque honoring members of the Six Flags Over Georgia family and their loved ones who have been affected by breast cancer. The tribute serves as a reminder of the many lives touched by the disease and the strength of those who face it.
Guests can ride the pink boat on Monster Mansion throughout the month of October. Six Flags Over Georgia is currently open select dates for Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS® and Tricks & Treats, now through Nov. 1, with Holiday in the Park returning later this fall.
Additional Community Efforts in October
Throughout October, Six Flags Over Georgia supports the Cobb County community through additional local initiatives. As a Blitz sponsor for Cobb County Teacher of the Year, the park recognizes outstanding educators across the district during the Give Our Schools a Hand Celebration Pep Rally on Oct. 28, where gifts and park tickets will be presented to all 132 Teachers of the Year.
Now through October 9, Six Flags Over Georgia participates in Public Safety Appreciation Week, to honor and appreciate those who keep the community safe and secure every day. Park employees will visit select agencies during Public Safety Appreciation Week to deliver gift baskets and park tickets.
