BRISTOL, Conn. — Fall is in the air at Lake Compounce as Phantom Fall Fest creeps out of the shadows for 18 nights beginning on Saturday, Sept. 19. This season, America’s First Amusement Park introduces new family-friendly entertainment, new food offerings, and turns the fear up to 10 after 6 p.m.
Families are encouraged to visit every Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. During the day, guests can expect all the classic rides and attractions they know and love, including the 8-plus rides offered within Kiddie Land plus three all-new ways to get into the fall spirit. Details include:
- NEW! Candy Corn Country – Kiddie Land gets a festive fall makeover with a brand-new trick-or-treat trail featuring colorful theming, fun photo opportunities and plenty of candy for little ghosts and ghouls to enjoy.
- NEW! Ghoul Girls – This high-energy, K-Pop-inspired performance brings a fresh beat to Phantom Fall Fest with an all-new show featuring music, dancing and plenty of Halloween flair. Performances will take place next to Fried Dough at select times throughout the day.
- NEW! Festive Fall Foods – The flavors of the season will be served throughout the park, including Pumpkin Spiced Fried Oreos, Maple Bacon Pecan Fried Dough, and Candy Corn Sundaes. Guests looking for something savory can sink their teeth into a Hot Honey Chicken Pizza, Chili in a Bread Bowl, Smoked Turkey Legs and more. Halloween-inspired drinks, including Blood Bags and Candy Corn Orange Punch, add an extra dose of fright to the fall feast.
When the sun goes down, the Phantom takes screams to the extreme with five haunted houses, two scare zones, and more than 100 scare actors roaming the park. The park’s newest haunt, Project Nightmare is back for a second season, taking bad dreams to the extreme as brave souls enter the sleep keepers research facility where he is pushing the limits of dream science. Other haunted attractions include mAlice in Wonderland 3D, Bloodcraft, Malignant: Overgrown Evil and MediEvil. Two sinister scare zones, Sawmill Slashers, and Atomic Prom, add even more terror throughout the park.
“Phantom Fall Fest continues to evolve each year, and this season we’re bringing even more to the experience,” said Daniel Llanas, General Manager of Lake Compounce. “With the addition of Candy Corn Country, a brand-new daytime show and new fall flavors, families can make their own Halloween memories during the day before the scares take over at night. Then, at 6 p.m., the Phantom transforms the park into a completely different experience with haunted houses, scare zones and more than 100 scare actors.”
Lake Compounce guests can also experience even more thrills on the park’s most popular roller coasters, open throughout the fall season including Boulder Dash, Wildcat, Zoomerang, and Phobia. Phantom Fall Fest will run select days from Sept. 19 through Nov. 1. The park will be open Fridays from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., Saturdays from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m.
