Halloween Haunt returns to Worlds of Fun this weekend

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The fear returns to Worlds of Fun as Halloween Haunt takes over the park on select Fridays and Saturdays starting this Saturday Sept. 19 through Oct. 31, including Sunday, Oct. 25.  Worlds of Fun’s transformation into a terrifying, haunted playground, packed with haunted attractions, sinister scare zones, live entertainment, seasonal food and beverages and thrilling rides in the dark, promises unforgettable screams after sunset. Park rides, shows and attractions, including all Halloween Haunt experiences, family-friendly Tricks and Treats and, on Sundays, the all-new Oktoberfest are all included with a valid Season Pass or Worlds of Fun admission ticket.

Guests can experience heart-pounding scares around every corner as Halloween Haunt delivers 15 haunted experiences, including three all-new scare zones designed to push guests’ courage to their limits:

  • Mr. Tickle’s Sideshow Alley: Expelled from the big top, Mr. Tickle’s band of merry malcontents welcome guests to their delirious sideshow in this new scare zone.
  • Invasion: A horrible infestation has taken over the Serengeti Research Facility, leaving creepy crawlies lurking in the shadows.
  • Necropolis: This ancient cemetery invites guests to explore but also understand where there’s always room for more residents.

Halloween Haunt at Worlds of Fun features haunted mazes and scare zones filled with terrifying creatures, chilling encounters and unexpected scares. Guests looking to maximize their fright-filled evening can purchase Fast Lane + Fright Lane to bypass regular lines at participating attractions.Fast Lane + Fright Lane availability is limited.

In addition to haunted experiences, guests can enjoy five electrifying entertainment offerings throughout the night, including the all-new show, Spellbound. As darkness is cast over the park, the Haunt Hellions bring new trouble to the night. With a collection of spellbinding tunes and appearances by some hair-raising characters, Spellbound is the can’t-miss show of night.

While the non-stop frights, spooky family fun and eerie performances leave guests thirsting for more, limited-time seasonal food and beverage offerings add a layer of hauntingly to-die-for flavors during both Tricks and Treats and Halloween Haunt.  This year’s terror-ific menu features more than 15 items including:  

  • Murder Mystery Shake: Strawberry shake topped with gummy body parts available at Sand Dune Diner
  • Swamp Monster Burger: Juicy burger topped with creamy spinach artichoke dip available at G’Rilla Grill
  • Monster Munch Popcorn: Orange, purple and green popcorn with a touch of sweetness at Coke Marketplace, G’Rilla Grill, Sand Dune Diner and River City Grill
  • Dirty Sodas: Selection of dirty sodas including Berry Bliss, Coconut Twist, Butterscotch Kiss and Orange Fizz are available at Swedish Dippin’ Chalet
  • Specialty Beers and Cocktails will be available throughout the park for guests age 21 and up

New for 2026, the Halloween Haunt Tasting Pass allows Guests to choose any five specially themed food items for just $39.99 each when purchased online. (Alcoholic beverages are excluded.)

Tricks and Treats Returns
For families seeking seasonal cheer with a spooky twist, Tricks and Treats, the park’s annual family-friendly Halloween extravaganza returns every Saturday and Sunday. The event features mischievous tricks, “skele-TONS” of delicious seasonal-themed food, specialty drinks and trick-or-treating. Younger park guests are encouraged to participate in Count Snooptacula’s Costume Contest for the chance to win prizes for the cutest, scariest, and most original costumes. Along with Tricks and Treats, Worlds of Fun’s all-new Oktoberfest event will take place Sundays, Sept. 20 through Oct. 18. 

Guidelines for Halloween Haunt
To ensure a hauntingly good time for all guests, Halloween Haunt guests must follow these additional park guidelines:

  • After 6:00 p.m., all guest bags may not be larger than 12”x12”x6”
  • Costumes, masks and full-face makeup are not permitted at Halloween Haunt. 
  • Some Halloween Haunt attractions may not be appropriate for young children.
  • Worlds of Fun’s Halloween Haunt Chaperone Policy will be in effect from open to close on all Halloween Haunt days: all guests aged 17 years old and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone over the age of 21 and each chaperone may not have more than five minors within the group. Guests are asked to honor the full code of conduct.

2027 Worlds of Fun Season Passes 
Along with live entertainment and limited time activities during the park’s Halloween-themed events, Worlds of Fun’s outstanding lineup of rides, attractions and experiences offer many reasons to visit the park this fall – and all of next year.  The best way to experience everything Worlds of Fun has to offer is with a 2027 Season Pass. 

Worlds of Fun now offers two unique Season Pass options, allowing guests to choose the Season Pass that meets their needs. 

The 2027 Worlds of Fun Hero Season Pass includes unlimited admission to both Worlds of Fun and Mid America Adventure Park in St. Louis; free general parking; unlimited access to the 2026 Halloween Haunt; dining and merchandise discounts; and additional perks throughout the 2027 season. Now for a limited time, guests will receive unlimited access to the 2027 Halloween Haunt with their purchase of a Hero Season Pass. The Worlds of Fun Hero Season Pass starts at $75.99 each plus taxes and fees. 

The 2027 Worlds of Fun Legend Season Pass includes unlimited admission to Worlds of Fun and all eight Enchanted Parks locations; unlimited access to the 2026 Halloween Haunt; exclusive benefits include dining and merchandise discounts; unlimited admission to Halloween Haunt 2027; and up to four single use Fast Lane per season. The Worlds of Fun Legend pass starts at $130.99 each plus taxes and fees.
