BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — Ghost Train returns to Tweetsie Railroad this fall, transforming the Wild West theme park into a nighttime Halloween adventure filled with spooky attractions, trick-or-treating, live entertainment and rides after dark.
Ghost Train operates Friday and Saturday nights from September 25 through October 31, 2026. Gates open at 7:30 p.m., with earlier 7 p.m. openings during the final three weekends of the event.
For guests looking for a scare, the evening includes a ride aboard the Ghost Train, the Haunted House and a walk through Freaky Forest. Families can also enjoy trick-or-treating along Main Street, the Palace “Spooktacular” show, nighttime amusement rides, a Main Street dance party and family-friendly attractions in the Boneyard.
Ghost Train is designed to offer safe, spooky fun for the whole family, with families encouraged to use their discretion when choosing attractions for younger children. The Ghost Train ride, Haunted House and Freaky Forest may be better suited for older children and adults.
Admission includes one Ghost Train ride and access to the evening’s Halloween attractions and entertainment, with taxes and fees included in the ticket price. Tickets are $65 for adults ages 13 and older and $45 for children ages 3–12. Children ages 2 and under are admitted free. Parking is also free.
Advance tickets are recommended and are available at tweetsie.com. Guests are welcome to wear costumes appropriate for a family environment.
“Ghost Train has become a fall tradition for a lot of families,” said Chris Robbins, president of Tweetsie Railroad. “It gives guests a chance to experience Tweetsie in a completely different way after dark, with everything from spooky attractions to entertainment and activities younger children can enjoy.”
Tweetsie Railroad also remains open during the day on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the fall season. Daytime admission and Ghost Train are separately ticketed experiences.
