CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carowinds has reached a major construction milestone on its new record-breaking water ride, Rip Roarin’ Falls. The ride’s 100-foot tower is now topped off and will soon be home to the world’s tallest flume drop.
The ride’s second tower, which is 42-feet and will feature the world’s tallest reverse drop and reverse camel back, was topped in July. With both towers now finished, much of the ride’s 2,240-feet of flume is now ready to be constructed, marking major progress towards its completion for the 2027 season.
