ORLANDO — KMI International, an employee-owned project and construction management consulting firm headquartered in Orlando, Florida, is proud to announce the promotion of Drew Horn to Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective January 5, 2026.

Horn brings more than 30 years of experience spanning cost estimating, project management, and project controls, with a track record of supporting projects ranging from early concept planning through execution on programs valued from $100,000 to multi-billion-dollar developments.In his new role, Horn will oversee KMI’s daily operations and help drive the next phase of KMI’s growth, while focusing on expanding its operational capabilities to meet the multifaceted needs of clients around the world. Horn’s deep industry knowledge and alignment with KMI’s Core Values: do the right thing, always be professional, work as a team, maintain accountability, and project confidence in relationships have contributed to KMI’s recent momentum, growth and expansion into new markets, supporting complex programs that require both technical rigor and creative sensitivity.
Throughout his tenure at KMI, Horn has consistently led with integrity, clarity, and a people-first mindset. His operational expertise and thoughtful approach have helped drive high-quality service delivery while supporting sustainable growth. His promotion is KMI’s next step in continuing to position the firm as an industry leader.

Horn joined KMI in 2018 as a senior estimator. Since then, he has taken on new responsibilities and expanded his role to serve clients across multiple industries on a global scale. Drew was promoted to Vice President of Operations in 2023 and has been leading the strategic effort to grow KMI’s themed entertainment practice worldwide.
In addition to his professional contributions, Horn is also recognized for his ongoing commitment to leadership development and community impact. He is a graduate of Leadership Orlando (Class 98)—Central Florida’s premier multi-county community leadership program operated by the Orlando Economic Partnership. Horn is also known for his commitment to mentorship, professional development, and giving back to the community. He is an active member in multiple professional organizations including the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), the Professional Construction Estimators Association (PCEA), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, IAAPA and the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). Through KMI Cares, he supports KMI’s corporate volunteer efforts at nonprofit organizations including Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and Give Kids The World.
Horn also served two years on the Board of Directors for the Orlando City Soccer Foundation, the nonprofit (501(c)(3)) arm of Orlando City SC dedicated to creating meaningful community impact. The Foundation supports underserved youth across Central Florida through free soccer programs, safe play spaces, healthy eating initiatives and urban gardens, and health and wellness programming—helping young people build confidence, life skills, and well-being through the power of soccer.
