Ventola Projects completes first South American project with immersive bowling installation in Ecuador

Ventola Projects completes first South American project with immersive bowling installation in Ecuador Ventola Projects has completed its first project in South America, delivering an immersive bowling experience at PlayGo Entertainment in Mall del Alto, Cuenca, Ecuador.

The UK-based company worked alongside US-based VAvR Alliance partner Evogence to introduce ball-responsive projection technology across the venue’s bowling lanes, transforming traditional games into interactive visual experiences.

The installation uses real-time tracking technology to project animations that follow each ball as it travels down the lane. Guests can scan a QR code at their lane, select from a range of themes and instantly personalise the appearance of their game without assistance from venue staff.

Content can also be managed centrally by the PlayGo Entertainment team, allowing staff to control themes, branding and promotional material across the entire installation from a single device.

Between games, the projections can be used to display venue branding, sponsor logos and promotions for events or food and drink. This provides the venue with an additional way to engage visitors and make use of the lanes during periods when they are not being played on.

Cloud-based monitoring, device management and remote support have also been incorporated into the project to help maintain consistent performance and minimise disruption to the venue’s day-to-day operations.

The project was delivered through the VAvR Global Alliance, an international network of technology partners established to make Ventola’s immersive lighting and entertainment solutions available to venues around the world.

CEO of Ventola Projects, Mick Ventola said: “Completing our first project in South America is an important step and demonstrates the international potential of the technology we have developed.

“PlayGo Entertainment wanted to create a bowling experience that would stand out within a busy shopping and leisure destination. By combining responsive projections with a simple central management system, we have helped create an attraction that is visually engaging for guests while remaining straightforward for the venue’s team to operate.

“Our partnership with Evogence and the wider VAvR Global Alliance allows us to combine international reach with knowledge and support on the ground. We are pleased to have completed the installation and to see the technology being used at PlayGo Entertainment.”

Designed as a scalable system, the installation enables PlayGo Entertainment to update themes and promotional content as its requirements develop. Its interactive format is intended to encourage longer playing sessions, repeat visits and social sharing, strengthening the bowling venue’s appeal within the wider Mall del Alto entertainment offering.

The completion follows Ventola Projects’ delivery of immersive entertainment installations in the UK and North America. Its expansion into Ecuador marks the latest stage in the company’s efforts to introduce its technology to new international markets through the VAvR Global Alliance.
