Golden Ticket Awards: Detour Alert for attendees traveling from Louisville

All Golden Ticket Award attendees flying into the Louisville International Airport or planning to drive through Louisville, Kentucky, should observe this detour. An
unexpected bridge closure requires an alternate route to Santa Claus, Indiana. You may not use I-64 to cross the Ohio River into Indiana. You must follow I-65 North into Indiana, then take I-265 West to access I-64 West. The reverse detour must be used to return to Kentucky as the I-64 bridge is closed in both directions. Please allow for an additional 30 minutes of travel time (extended delays can be expected during rush hour periods).

Directions from the Louisville International Airport:
– Follow the signs to access I-264 East / I-65.
– Take the ramp to I-65 North toward Louisville / Indianapolis. Continue 13.5 miles. Welcome to Indiana!
– Take exit 6B to merge onto I-265 West. Continue 6.6 miles.
– Take exit 0 to merge onto I-64 West toward St. Louis. Continue 58.5 miles.
– Take exit 63 – the Jasper / Santa Claus exit.
– Turn left onto Hwy 162 South. Continue 7 miles. Welcome to Santa Claus!
– At the stop light in Santa Claus, turn right.
– Continue about one mile to Santa’s Lodge, on the left.

For all other travelers driving through Louisville (from Kentucky, Ohio, or East):
– Find your way to I-65 North. Follow the directions above.
