MEI moves into new headquarter building

MALVERN, Pa. – MEI began December in a brand-new 60,000-square-foot facility located just seven miles from the company’s former location in West Chester.
Constructed from a blank canvas, the new space was molded by local design firm D2 and a team of MEI associates assigned to the project to enhance the MEI culture and highlight its technology heritage. The open office floor plan is designed to foster greater collaboration and communication. The facility is environmentally designed and contains state-of-the-art lab facilities for engineering and technical support, as well as a training center for customers and associates.
“After 30-plus years, there was a bit of nostalgia that arose when it was time to leave our West Chester facility. However, once associates saw the space and the special MEI-branded details placed throughout the office, there was an overwhelming sense of pride,” said CEO Mike Hayes. “Our new headquarters lays the perfect foundation to showcase our technology and foster innovation for the 21st century. We’re proud of our new space and look forward to welcoming customers, partners and suppliers into our new home.”
Email and postal communications were sent to those who do business with MEI about the corporate address change to 3222 Phoenixville Pike, Suite 200, Malvern, Pennsylvania 19355. All telephone and email information stays the same with the exception of the corporate fax number which has changed to 610-918-8898.
MEI holds the world’s largest installed base of unattended payment systems, handling over two billion transactions per week in more than 100 countries. The company developed the first electronic coin mechanism in the 1960s, followed by the first electronic non-contact bill acceptor, and more recently its credit card capability and vending management solution. In 2010, MEI reached a milestone of selling more than four million bill acceptors and five million coin mechanisms worldwide. Its products are in widespread use in the vending, soft drink, gaming, amusement, transport, retail, and kiosk markets. For more information on MEI and its products, visit meigroup.com.
