Cedar Point's Gatekeeper topped off

SANDUSKY, Ohio — Workers topped off an exciting week of construction on GateKeeper by placing the crest of the lift hill just after 3 p.m. on November 30. At 170 feet, it will be the wing coaster’s tallest point.

Each section of steel track weighs 7,500 pounds and over 100 shipments of steel are to be trucked in from Batavia, Ohio, for GateKeeper.

Construction will continue through the winter months, and GateKeeper is scheduled to open in May 2013.
