Work on Kings Island's Racer continues despite heavy snowfall

By | March 7, 2013

MASON, Ohio – A worker at Kings Island spent part of Wednesday morning (March 6) shoveling and removing snow from the tracks of the Racer roller coaster following an overnight snowstorm in the tri-state area. The removal of the snow allowed carpenters to continue with daily offseason track work on the 41-year old twin-track wooden roller coaster. The Racer opened with the park in 1972 and has given more than 97 million rides, the most in park history. Kings Island opens for the 2013 season April 27.
