LANCASTER, Pa. — Happy Holidays from Dutch Wonderland! The kingdom gates will officially reopen on Saturday, November 20 at 3:00 p.m. welcoming guests back to Dutch Winter Wonderland for the first time since 2019.

More than one million twinkling lights, 20 themed rides and attractions, special entertainment, an all-new seasonal dining menu, and The Royal Light Show will greet guests as they stroll through Winter Wonderland. For the first time ever, Dutch Wonderland will open its three roller coasters – Merlin’s Mayhem, Kingdom Coaster and Joust Family Coaster – throughout the season, weather permitting. In honor of Opening Day, the park will partner with the Toys for Tots Foundation to host a toy drive benefitting children in Lancaster County. Children 12 and under who  bring a new, unwrapped toy donation on Saturday, November 20 or Sunday, November 21 will receive one complimentary admission ticket to Dutch Winter Wonderland.

“We are ready to kick off our most exciting Dutch Winter Wonderland event to date,” says General Manager James Paulding. “Guests will find more holiday experiences than ever before this season, with additional events debuting for the first time, such as our kids New Year’s Eve bash and the World’s Largest Ugly Sweater Party!”

On Friday, November 26, Dutch Wonderland will host the World’s Largest Ugly Sweater Party. Guests are invited to wear their ugliest holiday sweater to the park in hopes of breaking the single-location sweater record of 3,473. Dutch Wonderland will also join its sister parks Kennywood, Lake Compounce and Castle Park to create a cross-country celebration and add a multi-location record for ugly sweater celebrations. Guests must gather at the Celebration Theater at 7:00 p.m. to officially be part of the fun and, hopefully, record-setting holiday sweater party.

Additional events throughout the season include a Cotton Candy Glow Up Party, happening December 4 and 5. The event will include exclusive cotton candy flavors, cotton candy inspired beverages and more. On December 11 and 12, Dutch Winter Wonderland visitors are invited to give back with donations accepted for Sweat Pea Project and Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development. Guests that bring a donation for either organization will receive free parking. Get ready for Duke’s Diamond Drop on Friday, December 31! Ring in 2022 with a juice box toast and special New Year’s Eve countdown beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Just in time for the holiday season, Dutch Wonderland’s Black Friday sales event will kick off on Friday, November 19. Whether shopping for a no-frills, all fun pass or a higher-tier offering that includes access to special events such as Dutch Winter Wonderland, ‘tis the season for great deals! Season Passes will start as low as just six easy payments of $11. Gold and Platinum level passes can start the fun in 2021: these top-tier offers include unlimited admission for this year’s Dutch Winter Wonderland.
