"Free Listing" warning to IAAPA exhibitors

Warning to IAAPA Trade Show Exhibitors: If your company is exhibiting at one of IAAPA’s trade shows, you may be contacted by “Fair Guide,” “Expo-Guide,” “Construct Data Publishers” or “European Trade Register” about a “free listing” in a directory. These companies are using misleading tactics to solicit IAAPA exhibitors and others for listings in trade show and exhibition directories. Although the correspondence appears to request information for free listings, the document is actually a three-year contract for the purchase of advertising space.
