Urge U.S. Senate to amend Small Business COVID Relief Act of 2022

By | May 17, 2022

The Senate may consider the Small Business COVID Relief Act of 2022 (S.4008) this week in preparation for a possible floor vote. In its current form, the bill proposes $40 billion to replenish the Restaurant Relief Fund and an additional $8 billion for a few hand-picked industries like restaurants, gyms, and live event service providers. It does not propose grant relief for smaller parks, attractions, and family entertainment centers.

We are advocating for S. 4008 to be amended to include language already passed by the U.S. House (H.R.3807). H.R. 3807 – which the coalition supported – would create a $13 billion industry neutral grant program for other hard hit businesses like ours.
