Tell your members of Congress to sign onto the Summer Work Travel Program bi-partisan letter of support

By | May 16, 2022

IAAPA continues to work in conjunction with industry groups, Members of Congress, and Governors to advance the goals of the Summer Work Travel (SWT) Program.

Fortunately, the State Department is listening. They have prioritized the program and visa processing this year compared to last year. But we need to keep pushing, since visa processing delays in consulates around the country continue to impact the ability of exchange visitors to arrive in time for the critical summer season.

With that goal in mind, Rep. Chris Pappas (D-NH), Rep. Blake Moore (R-UT), Rep. John Curtis (R-UT), and Rep. Ann Kuster (D-NH) drafted a bi-partisan letter to Secretary of State Blinken urging the prioritization of SWT and other BridgeUSA visa processing.

If the SWT program is important to your business, please reach out to your elected officials and ask them to sign onto the letter of support for the program. It will be sent to Secretary Blinken the evening of Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
