GILBERTSVILLE, Pa. — Gateway Ticketing Systems and WhiteWater are teaming up to deliver a special webinar in honor of International Women’s Day 2021: Celebrate, Elevate! Cultivate! Empower Talented Women in our Organizations. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, March 10 at 2 PM EST.

“We want to amplify discussions around how people can support and be allies for women in the workplace,” says Alicia Huppman, Senior Manager, Human Resources at Gateway Ticketing Systems. “These important conversations around diversity, equity and inclusion need to happen more regularly and need to be featured more prominently in our industry.”

Alicia continues: We’re proud to partner with WhiteWater on this initiative as the core values of their organization and employees align well with ours.”

Gateway and WhiteWater worked together to bring industry leaders to the table to discuss the important topics impacting the attractions industry today. They’ll be talking gender stereotypes and inequity, unconscious bias and the personal experiences of the panelists, who will give practical recommendations and advice to industry leaders and their employees about navigating a path in the world of work and careers.

The session will be moderated by Una de Boer, Director of Global Marketing and Strategy at WhiteWater, the leading global designer & manufacturer of award-winning attractions from water slides to water rides.

Panelists will include: Alicia Huppman, Senior Manager, Human Resources at Gateway Ticketing Systems; John Wood, Chairman and CEO at Sally Dark Rides; June Ko, Executive Director and Vice President, Asia Pacific Operations at International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA); Mary Baerg, Chief Operating Officer at Space Center Houston.

Says Una de Boer, the moderator of the session: “Thanks go to Gateway for hosting this session, it is an important topic. Organizations prosper when talent is developed and a variety of voices are heard; so how do we remove barriers and encourage greater leadership equity?  This panel has great practical insights to share and help us do that. I’m looking forward to hearing what they say!”

The webinar is titled: Celebrate! Elevate! Cultivate! Empower Talented Women in our Organizations. It will be held on Wednesday, March 10 at 2 PM EST. And it’s not only for the women in our industry. All are encouraged to join, be allies, and #ChooseToChallenge for #IWD2021.
