For the first time in its history, Germany’s biggest theme park surpassed the four million visitors mark during the 2011 summer season. September and October were among the most successful months since the opening of Europa-Park 36 years ago. Overnights stays as well as the conference business also experienced significant growth.

Roland Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park, said: “More and more people visit the park several times per season. More than 85 percent of our visitors are repeaters. This is the best acknowledgment for our concept.”

While construction continues on the park’s new-for-2012 wooden roller coaster from Great Coasters International, Inc., Europa-Park park is about to launch its annual Christmas event. The holiday season will be highlighted by “The Secret of Balthasar Castle,” a multi-media 4-D film produced by Europa-Park. Full of special effects and and fun, the feature will be presented several times each day at Magic Cinema 4D from the start of the winter season on Nov. 26 2011.
