Six Flags Grape Adventure Wine and Food Festival Rescheduled

Event to serve as staging area for Hurricane Sandy donations

JACKSON, N.J. — Six Flags Grape Adventure has been rescheduled for Nov. 10 and 11 from 12 to 5 p.m. The event will offer guests a special opportunity to sample local wines, food and gifts partnered with a VIP Safari experience.

Six Flags unites with the American Red Cross and New Jersey Amusement Association (NJAA) to collect donations for the New Jersey region, heavily impacted by the hurricane. Guests who attend the festival or those just looking for a way to donate can visit the park to make their donation during festival hours.

The third-annual Grape Adventure will feature 12 New Jersey vineyards with nearly 150 locally-produced wines for sampling, handcrafted gifts, dishes from neighboring eateries and live music. Visitors will also be able to purchase a special Safari package which includes a private tour of the safari and special wine tasting in the African Plains section among giraffes.

The event will take place at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J. Featured wineries include:

Wine event tickets are available the day of the show or can be purchased online at sixflags.com with the promo code: WINE. Tickets are $20 for the Wine Event or $35 with the Safari package. The Safari package is only available for purchase on the day of the event. Parking is free during Grape Adventure. Children and non-sampling guests do not require a ticket for the event. All guests, including children over two years of age, require a ticket for the safari.
