Kings Dominion employee to celebrate his 90th birthday — on the job!

Doswell, Va. — The old saying goes, “You’re only as old as you feel” and Kings Dominion employee George Keeney proves that’s true everyday. On Tuesday, June 12th, Keeney will report to work and greet guests with a smile on his face as they come to our front gates, all while celebrating his 90th birthday!
“He’s my inspiration. To be 90 years old, come to work everyday and do what he does is remarkable,” says admissions area manager, and Keeney’s boss, Brenda Boxley. “You can’t use age as an excuse because George proves that age has nothing to do with it.”
Keeney, who currently lives in Richmond and is a native of Ashland, has been working at Kings Dominion for the past 15 years in various roles, including in his current role as an admissions host.
Boxley and other staff members at Kings Dominion decorated Keeney’s front gate stand as a surprise for his birthday on Tuesday, June 12th.
