The Funplex East Hanover named best family entertainment center

The Funplex East Hanover is pleased to announce it has been named Best Indoor Family Entertainment Center at the Excellence in Family Entertainment Awards held March 14-16 at the Amusement Expo 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Other nominees in the Best Indoor Family Entertainment Center category included Triple Play Family Fun Park in Hayden, Idaho, Provo Beach Resort in Provo, Utah and Fun Spot Grand Country Square in Branson, Mo.

The Family Entertainment Awards recognize the hard work and dedication that is necessary to succeed as an entertainment center. The 2012 event was marked by eleven entertainment categories that represent and recognize new standards for excellence in the industry. Nominees hail from around the United States and Canada. Those facilities considered for the awards are judged on a variety of criteria including appearance, amenities, customer satisfaction, and overall success.

“On behalf of all of us at the Funplex, I want to express how thrilled we are to be recognized at the Amusement Expo 2012 and declared the Best Indoor Family Entertainment Center. Providing our guests with the best possible entertainment experience has always been our goal and we will continue to bring innovative entertainment options to families as we have most recently done with the new addition this summer of Splashplex,” states Randall Lahn, spokesman for the Lahn family, owners and operators of the Funplex.

Splashplex is a wild water playground featuring elevated water blasters, hydro storm towers, loose water hoses, 359 linear feet of water slides and a newly renovated five foot deep Olympic sized pool. Beginning on May 28th, 2012, Splashplex will be open daily. The Splashplex Water Park is also available for summer birthdays, graduation parties and other events.

The Funplex East Hanover is an indoor family amusement center, open year round, featuring over 100,000 square feet of fun. The center is home to attractions including Foam Frenzy, MagiQuest and Go-Karting, Lazer Tag, rides, Bumper Cars, 4D Theatre a state-of-the-art arcade. The center features indoor and outdoor party areas able to accommodate birthday parties, group events and corporate functions.
